INVITATIONS:
The Egyptian Corrosion Society
invites engineers, chemists, and scientists from
industry, research centers and universities to
contribute to the 27th Annual Conference on:
Corrosion Challenges in
Industry
The
mail objective of the conference will be the
presentation and discussion of information generated by
investigations and research studies into the causes and
mitigation of corrosion.
CONFERENCE TOPICS:
The program will include
presentations of plenary lectures by
invited guest speakers, technical papers and case
studies for oral and poster presentations:covering the following topics:

Corrosion
in the petroleum, chemical,
food, metallurgical, power and building industries.
-
Corrosion
protection:
“Inhibitors, Cathodic Protection, Surface
Modification, Paints, Coatings
and application of nano-technology”
-
Corrosion
Monitoring and Inspection.
-
Corrosion phenomena
of metallic and non metallic materials.
-
Water treatment and
chemical cleaning.
-
Materials and welding
processes.
-
Cost of corrosion.
DEADLINES:
Abstract: July 30, 2008
Notification of acceptance: August 30, 2008
Full paper submission: October
30, 2008
Papers should have a maximum of 10 pages including
figures and tables (typed or laser printed single spaced
(8.5 x 11),
on CD,to be sent by e-mail:

PROCEEDINGS:
A book of abstracts, a book of complete papers
and a CD with complete proceedings will be provided
on arrival.
REGISTRATION FEES:
Participant US $ 450.
The fees include full accommodation during the
conference, printed materials, sightseeing and bus trips
from and back to Cairo.
EXHIBITION:
Facilities will be available throughout the conference
for commercial displays.
Companies interested in exhibition space are requested
to contact the organizing committee.
FEES:
US $ 1000 including the exhibition and full
accommodation for one person .
US $ 300 for every extra person.
